CWLC’s Senior Staff Attorney Amy Poyer was a panelist on the Tackling Inequality in Public Schools, a program that was part of the month-long series of public education classes and continuing legal education programs held at LA Law Library in celebration of African American History Month 2018.
The panelists guided a discussion, responded to questions and concerns and facilitated a dialogue about inequality in public schools in underserved areas. Discussion included the unique needs of foster care children, differences in educational opportunity for less advantaged children, the unequal provision of school programs and issues influencing girls’ participation in sports.
