Abortion remains safe and legal in California. This morning, Governor Newsom and California reproductive justice leaders launched an important new resource that facilitates abortion care accessibility for California residents and anyone traveling to our state for care.

Today, as the US Senate introduced legislation that seeks to outlaw abortion in every state, California continues to be a reproductive safe haven for women and girls across the country. And, as the principles of reproductive health and freedom continue to be contested in national debate, California’s leadership on reproductive rights and health remain crucially important for residents of our state and beyond. CWLC also applauds Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer for bringing forward an ordinance that seeks to prevent crisis pregnancy centers from falsely advertising pregnancy-related services which frequently, dangerously delay the care patients need.
