The California Women’s Law Center (CWLC) breaks down barriers and advances the potential of women and girls through transformative litigation, policy advocacy and education.
We pursue our mission through three primary activities: education and support services, including training and education for legal professionals, stakeholders, and the general public; impact litigation, including lawsuits and amicus briefs; and policy advocacy. CWLC places particular emphasis on effecting change for low-income and indigent women and girls.
For 30 years, CWLC has prioritized advancing the potential of women and girls in California. CWLC was the first law center in California solely dedicated to addressing the comprehensive and unique legal needs of women and girls.
