CWLC is at the forefront of advocating to ensure that legislation enacted will directly impact the wellbeing of women and girls. CWLC works closely with policy leaders and elected officials, sharing our experience and insight to help advance social justice for women and girls. We have advocated for policy initiatives in areas such as Title IX enforcement, protecting the civil rights of pregnant and parenting students, and eradicating violence toward women, with an emphasis on assisting the low-income community.
During each legislative session, CWLC closely monitors bills on issues ranging from access to reproductive healthcare to criminal justice reform. Leveraging our efforts with other stakeholders and coalitions, we lecture, write letters, issue policy briefs, co-sponsor legislation, and testify before lawmakers in support of priority legislation.
