As a supporter of the California Women’s Law Center, another way I ask you to please consider supporting the rights of women and girls is by telling Congress that you stand with Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood is the most trusted women’s health care provider in this country, and has been for nearly 100 years. It now is widely understood that the recently released videos were heavily edited. They demonstrate the lengths at to which opponents of women’s health will go to ban abortion. The history of harassment and intimidation is clear, and it is unacceptable.

The California Women’s Law Center stands with Planned Parenthood. We fight for reproductive justice in our communities, and that includes access to health services like birth control, life-saving cancer screenings, and STD testing and treatment—the exact services that Planned Parenthood health centers provider to nearly 1 million people in California each year.

Anti-abortion politicians are now seizing on this opportunity to try to defund Planned Parenthood, and deny access to reproductive care to many, including low income, uninsured women who are most in need of its services. CWLC therefore asks you to add your name to the list of those who are outraged by these attacks and urge Congress to protect funding for Planned Parenthood.

Across the nation, Planned Parenthood health centers are invaluable resources for the communities they serve. Women and doctors should not be terrorized for accessing and providing legal health care services– this is why the California Women’s Law Center is proud to stand with Planned Parenthood.
