Individuals joined the National Council of Jewish Women|Los Angeles (NCJW|LA) and several cosponsoring organizations to Rally to Save Roe, which was a rally and training to defend women’s reproductive rights in America. The rally began at 6:00 pm on Fairfax Avenue between Clinton Street and Rosewood Avenue.
In the face of an uncertain political climate, supporters demonstrated their commitment to upholding the right to abortion that was established 44 years ago in the historic 1973 Supreme Court Case, Roe vs. Wade.
In addition to rallying together with notable speakers and inspiring performances, the event provided an advocacy training to present practical tools to impact communities. The training followed the rally at 7:30 pm in the NCJW|LA building at 543 North Fairfax Avenue.
The Rally to Save Roe was a definitive, loud statement from the women of Los Angeles, and those who love and support them, that any attack from this new administration will not be tolerated. We are empowered, we are not afraid, we will boldly move forward.
