The California Women’s Law Center (CWLC) supports California Senate Bill 665 authored by Senator Marty Block.

SB 665 will provide much needed student education and independent oversight of the Title IX process to address and prevent abuses at our state’s institutions of higher learning.

While SB 665 focuses on the sexual assault epidemic at our state’s colleges and universities, we envision opportunities for the oversight office to address all Title IX abuses affecting students in coordination with the appropriate existing agencies.
