The rights and safety of women in the United States continue to be challenged. Over the last two years, the current administration has marginalized American women and girls on several fronts, and now Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos has proposed new regulations that will strip away vital protections for survivors of sexual assault and harassment in schools. We are writing to urge you to join CWLC in showing our opposition to the administration’s latest attempt to weaken protections on school campuses across the country. Enacted in 1972, Title IX is a federal law created to ensure all educational institutions receiving federal financial assistance are free from gender discrimination.
